We buy cracked iPhones. For real money.
Your phone’s seen better days. Your wallet hasn’t.
Cracked glass? Tired battery? A phone that’s been through some things? Tell us what you’ve got. We’ll tell you what it’s worth — without pretending one scratch makes it worthless.
How Sour Buy works
- 1
Tell us what you've got
Model, storage, battery, and what's going on with it. No account, no phone number, no IMEI yet.
- 2
See every dollar
Your offer shows what the phone resells for, what each repair costs, and what we keep. Nothing hidden in a fog of fine print.
- 3
Ship it or skip the mail
Mail it in for the full standard offer, or along the Wasatch Front, hand it off the same day.
A cracked screen isn’t a personality disorder.
If your glass is cracked but the display works beautifully, why should we price your phone like the entire screen is dead? We price the repair — not the drama.
Cracked glass, display works
Priced as a glass repair. The expensive OLED underneath is still good, so it keeps its value.
Display damaged too
Lines, dead spots or touch problems mean a full display replacement — and we’ll show you that cost, line by line.
Mail it in, or keep it local
Comparing us with another buyer? Use our standard mail-in price. That’s the apples-to-apples number.
Full offer
Standard mail-in
The full standard offer. We send a prepaid label; you get paid after inspection.
A little less than mail-in
Same-day drop-off
Meet us at an approved spot in Ogden, Salt Lake City or Tooele. Inspection, then payout.
Lowest of the three
Same-day courier
We come to you on the Wasatch Front, inspect on the spot, and pay once it checks out.
Same-day availability depends on your ZIP and our schedule. We confirm a real time with you before you commit.
Think our offer is low? Challenge us.
We can handle constructive criticism. Usually. Every quote has a link to send us a competing offer — we review each one by hand and aim to reply within 12 hours. If it’s a fair comparison and we can beat it without losing money, we will.
How we grade
- Excellent
- Looks close to new. Maybe a whisper of wear you have to hunt for.
- Great
- Light, normal use marks. Nothing you'd notice across a table.
- Good
- Visible scratches or scuffs on the body. Everything works.
- Fair
- Heavy wear, deeper scratches or small dings. Still fully works.
- Great, except one little thing
- Cracked glass, a tired port, a lens that took a hit — we price the specific repair, not the drama.
Please be honest about your phone. If you tell us it’s in fair condition and we discover it’s actually in great condition, we’ll raise your payout. Yes, really. See the full condition guide.
We’d rather explain a deduction than invent one.
- Every offer comes with a line-by-line breakdown and a quote number.
- Quotes are saved exactly as issued — we can't quietly change them later.
- We never ask for your IMEI just to show you a price.
- No fake reviews, no invented payout totals. We're new; we'd rather earn the testimonials.
Questions, answered
Do you really buy cracked iPhones?
Yes. If the glass is cracked but the display underneath works, we price the glass repair instead of treating the whole screen as dead. That's the whole point of us.
Do I need an account to get a quote?
No. You can get an estimated offer without an account, an email address, or your IMEI. We only ask for contact details when you want a reply or decide to sell.
Which number should I compare with other buyers?
Our standard mail-in offer. Same-day options cost us more to run, so they pay a little less — comparing a same-day price with someone else's mail-in price isn't apples to apples.
What if my phone turns out to be in better shape than I said?
We'll raise your payout to match the grade we find, under the same pricing rules. If it's in worse shape, we'll show you exactly what changed before you decide.
Is same-day available where I live?
Enter your ZIP when you start a quote. We currently cover approved ZIP codes from Logan to Provo plus Tooele, and we confirm a real time with you before you commit.
What phones do you buy?
iPhones from the 11 generation onward, plus SE and e models. Newer models whose details we haven't verified yet get a human quote instead of a guess.
A promise from the guy behind Sour Buy
Owner’s promise
We built Sour Buy because selling a phone shouldn’t feel like negotiating with someone who thinks every scratch is a catastrophic event.
We’ll explain our numbers. We’ll own our mistakes. And if you give us the chance to earn your business, we’ll work hard to deserve it.
That’s my promise.
